Welcome to Anfield Stadium @ LIVERPOOL

Liverpool is the city’s impressive cultural heritage, dating back to when Liverpool was Britain’s second-most important city, is a source of justifiable pride to Scousers – as the locals are named, after Scouse, a fish-and-biscuit stew popular with sailors – but what really excites them is the ongoing program of urban regeneration that is transforming a once dilapidated city centre into one of the most pleasant cities in northern England.

Being one of the biggest fan of Liverpool Football Club, since childhood. it had been alway a great dream to visit the stadium and view one match. This time I did not get the chance to view the match however I did get the chance to take a full view around the stadium and enjoy the moment.

No trip to the city is complete without a visit to Anfield Stadium, home of Liverpool Football Club. The LFC Stadium Tour is a truly memorable experience for all, whether you’re a fan of the beautiful game, or interested in the history of the Club and the city of Liverpool itself.

For fans of Liverpool FC, Anfield is a special place, and this is reflected in the reverential tone of the hour-long self-guided audio tour that starts at the top of the new Main Stand and continues down to pitchside. Stops along the way include the home and away dressing rooms and the luxurious players’ lounge.

You’ll also see the press room and the home dugout, accessed via the new ‘walk of champions’ tunnel, where you can touch the iconic ‘This is Anfield’ sign. Staff positioned at various points throughout the tour are on hand to answer questions, generally with a touch of humour that makes the whole experience a memorable one for fans and especially kids. The ground is 2.5 miles northeast of the city centre.

You will enjoy epic views of the pitch and city landscape from the top level of the Main Stand. Use your handset’s technology here to see and hear for yourself Anfield’s famous matchday atmosphere.

See where your heroes prepare for the big game in the state-of-the-art Home Team Dressing Room. Sit in your favourite player’s seat and watch exclusive videos about each player using your handset. Discover which former player and LFC Legend reveals his best opposition team when you visit the Away Team Dressing Room. Take part in a lively and interactive press conference with your tour guide in the Press Room. Touch the This is Anfield sign before walking down the Player’s Tunnel to the sound of the Anfield roar. Take your seat in the Manager’s Dugout and then finish your tour in The Kop.

Don’t miss the museum’s The Steven Gerrard Collection, the former captain’s exclusive personal collection of footballing memorabilia. Among the items on display are Gerrard’s LFC and England shirts, signed opposition shirts, medals, trophies and awards, England caps and match items from Istanbul 2005.

Children can use the handsets to play interactive games and activities. There’s also low-level facts to read throughout the museum specially written by Mighty Red, the Club’s official mascot and number one fan.

Just waiting for few more days, so that I can watch my first LFC live match at Anfield and fulfill one of the dreams.
